Your Cash Position at a Glance

Recurring costs, expenses, cash flow and working capital on one page — built from the figures you have already entered in our free tools.

This is not accounting software and it does not connect to your bank. It is a single view of the four things that decide whether a business feels comfortable or tight: what you hold, what comes in, what goes out, and what is already committed.

Cash flow

Your cash position

Nothing here yet. Fill in the cash flow calculator and your figures appear on this dashboard automatically.

Recurring costs

Where your money goes

No costs recorded yet. Complete The Top 10 Cost Challenge and your ten biggest costs, along with any reductions you identified, appear here.

Working capital

Money already committed to trading

Working capital is what you are owed and what you hold, less what you owe in the short term. Your cash balance comes from the calculator; add the rest here.

Turn the picture into a plan

A dashboard tells you where you are. A forecast tells you where you are going. Our free Excel template lets you lay out expected receipts and payments on the dates they are due, so you can see the tight days before they arrive rather than after.

Reading the dashboard

Look at the relationship between the numbers rather than any single one. A healthy cash balance alongside a negative net monthly figure means you are living off a buffer. Strong working capital with very little cash usually means your money is sitting in unpaid invoices or stock — see why cash management isn't just for big business.

Costs become cash

Every reduction you identified in The Top 10 Cost Challenge shows here as a monthly cash improvement. That is the honest way to judge it: not as a percentage, but as money that stays in the account each month — provided the reduction does not damage what the business can do.

Your figures stay with you

Everything on this page is stored in your own browser. We never see it, and it is not sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data clears the dashboard, which is why the downloadable templates are worth keeping alongside it. Protecting the business also means protecting the cash itself.
